Diana Gibson Garner Designs

As a native of Albemarle County, Virginia, Diana Gibson Garner has been exposed to beautiful houses throughout her life in the country and Charlottesville. She was also very influenced by her aunt Nancy Lancaster, the famed English designer. She developed a love of design and architecture and has brought that to her interior design business for the last 30 years. She was fortunate enough to design her own unique home with her husband implementing her ideas and learning a lot in the process. She lived there for seventeen years. Her projects extend from New York City to Florida. She still has a love for beautiful interiors.

My Mission

My philosophy has always been that one's surroundings should be comfortable, inviting and reflect the personality of the client in the best possible taste. This can be done in a refined yet relaxed style, combining antique and modern influences, and culminating in an interesting scheme to be enjoyed. Whether one is moving into something bigger or smaller or just renovating, it can be an overwhelming experience. Especially when downsizing there are many decisions about changes in lifestyle. Presently, I am putting a lot of my energy into helping those clients by partnering with a company called Cull and Tend, a home concierge service whose purpose is to take care of all the phases of a move from start to finish. On the other end of the move I offer all phases of design development to make the new home beautiful and elegant. Making decisions as to what treasures to keep, what furniture to restore, or what to buy are all part of creating a beautiful home and an enjoyable, stress-free experience.
